Trip to Mondulkiri

We went on a trip to one of the provinces in Northeast Cambodia. It borders Vietnam. The weather is a lot cooler there than it is Phnom Penh. We enjoyed the cool weather! It's really beautiful there, and doesn't look tropical at all. It reminded us a lot of Oklahoma!
There are a lot of waterfalls there. It is the dry season right now, so the waterfalls didn't have much water (is what the Cambodians were saying). But, it still seemed to have a lot of water and we had a lot of fun!

Crystal and Krystyn both went with us! Isobel wanted to have be in the "girl picture"!

This province is the least populated province in Cambodia. The main people group there are called the Bunong. They have their own language, but a lot of them speak Khmer as well. They are mostly farmers. This province is well known for it's avocados and also has strawberries! Unfortunately, we went to the strawberry plantation but the strawberries weren't in season!

This is in a Bunong village. The people do not build their houses like Khmer, but have traditional houses that are round.
This flower looked to us like something from the Lorax. We thought we ought to take a picture of it!
Hudson enjoyed drinking hot chocolate every morning! It's usually too hot to drink hot drinks! Usually we just sweat - but it was nice to drink and be able to enjoy hot drinks!

We did go to a plantation where they had lots of different kinds of fruits as well as coffee. This is a pineapple bush!

Can you spot JT at the top of this waterfall?
