The boys were playing outside the other day and Davis looked down and realized there was a gecko on his shirt. They're always everywhere inside our house, on our walls, in our shoes, inside cabinets, sometimes they even make it into our fridge. I used to think they were kind of cute - but that was before I realized they leave poop all over the house! Davis is really scared of them (probably because his mom screams everytime one gets near her!). Hudson, on the other hand is not the least bit scared of geckos.
The boys are usually able to catch the baby geckos because they're a little slower than the big ones. Random fact about geckos - their tails do fall off, but they grow back. The unfortunate geckos that our caught by the Kliewer boys do usually lose their tails before the kids are done with them. That is, if they're not dead by the time they're done with them (killed by accident, of course!).
And yes, Hudson is dangling that gecko over Isobel's head! And yes, this is yet another unfortunate gecko that didn't make it. But, there are still plenty left!
