if you're ever passing through the touristy areas of Thailand, you'll probably have somebody try to sell a t-shirt that says "Same Same but Different". how true it is!! in mid-June we were in Thailand for some meetings, and were ecstatic about eating at some of the Western food chains scattered throughout the city. in Cambodia, the closest we have to a fast food burger joint is "Lucky Burger." although tasty in its own special, unique ways, a lucky burger from Lucky Burger just doesn't quite measure up to a Big Mac or a Whopper.
as much as we enjoyed McDonalds, it's still "same same but different." for example... .
i can't recall Ronald ever greeting me like this in the states! overall, we had a great time and are looking forward to some more meetings mid-July. we'll get our last fix of semi-authentic western food until next year!
